It looks like it's a bust this time around but I will keep trying when my foot heals from surgery.

We thought we had problems finding books
This is every library's nightmare. I don't feel so bad about the books we can't find.

Thing 27 Twitter
My Twitter user name is Librarylifer. I'm not sure how Twitter will fit into my life. I can see how people can get addicted to the net. I can see ways to use it in the library. It would be fun to have a Twitter group for Teen activities and Teen authors. It might be a way to connect with kids who might have never come into the library thinking that there was nothing here for them.

Thing 26
I joined the 23 Thing on a Stick Ning. I didn't do round one so I just joined during round 2. I added some friends who did round one and started a Library Knitting Group as on of my things. I realize that this is mostly for librarians but it would be nice to have a Circulation Supervisors Group or even just a Circ Group. I think it would help alot as we look for ways to give quality service during budget and staffing cuts.

Typealyzer
Here is my Typealyzer profile
ESTP - The Doers
The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.
The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

You tube
I figured out how to put a You Tube video on my blog with the help of my friend Floating Lush.

Thing 25 Google gadgets
I found some fun gadgets on Google gadgets. I typed in knitting and found a widget for new knitting books for my knitting blog and then I tried Mysteries and found a widget for new mystery books for my library blog. What fun! I also finally figured out how to copy and paste an aquarium on blog. These things may seem small but for a non-techie it's a great discovery.

Changes
I decided that Van Gogh was too much so I switched to Georgia O'Keeffe. I like her flowers.
I admit that I started this because this is a problem area for me. I would like to thank Librarian DOA for her help and patience with my end less questions.

Thing 24
Thing 24 talks about adding gadgets to your blog. I decided to try the Georgia O'Keeffe. I have tried gadgets for my other blog but had a hard time getting the weather gadget to show where I lived. It kept reverting to some place sunny and warm which is not how I would describe MN in the winter.
I started a blog about my knitting life and learned how to do Library Thing to catalog my knitting books. This blog I started for my library life and 23 Things. I used Shelfari to display non-knitting books that I read. It's been fun and frustrating. I have been reading the blogs of the librarians who did 23 Things on a stick last year and found it fun to follow along. Librarian DOA, Floating Lush, Carol with her nose in a book and Cheery Lane. Since they are seasoned veterans I'm hopping they will help me out when I get stuck.

More 23 things on a stick
Even though I didn't do the original 23 things on a stick I want to give it a try this time.
I already know how to set up a blog, add RSS feeds, and add gadgets.
It will be fun to see where this takes me.
